About Dr. Esquivel

I am a board certified physician practicing Complementary & Alternative Medicine in San Antonio,Texas.

BA in biology from the University of Texas at Austin 1981

MD from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School 1986

Residency taken in Family Medicine at Memorial Medical Center in Corpus Christi, Texas.

Began practicing medicine in San Antonio after residency in 1990.   For the most part practicing urgent care and occupational medicine.

Around 15 years ago began exploring healing alternatives and ultimately began practicing Homeopathic Medicine on a part time basis.

Since then and more so in the last 5 years or so I have studied and incorporated several other holistic and alternative healing methods into my practice including methods drawn from the worlds of energy medicine, mind-body medicine, and biological/functional medicine.

The purpose of this blog is to serve as an avenue for increasing general awareness of the vast storehouse of healing potentials that are out there, which for better or for worse have come to be thought of  as “Alternative”.

I hope that in time with greater understanding will come greater acceptance.
